    The Development of Interactive Multimedia Mobile Learning about Bacterial Topic to train the Students' Ability of Science Literacy

    Science literacy is a human's ability to understand science and use that understanding to be applied in solving a problem in everyday life. Students' science literacy skills are low due to the student's response in answering a question to explain the phenomenon has not fulfilled the aspects of science literacy. This research aims to develop an interactive multimedia Mobile Learning that is valid, practical, and effective in making students practice their science literacy skills. Interactive multimedia research and development of the Mobile Learning model uses a Research and Development model that adapts the development model of William W. Lee and Diana L. Owens. The stages of development in the model of Lee and Owens are (1) Assessment/Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. The results of this research and development obtained 97.8 percent validation value of media experts, obtained a validation value of 100 percent by topic experts, also earned an average of 94 percent value in the validation of expert assessment. So that based on the data results of this development research was very valid category the field-test results of research and development conducted with the researchers as a teacher for two meetings produced a practical test value by students of 84.42 percent, a very practicable category. The practicality test results (field practitioner) obtained a value of 100 percent, which was a very practical category. The value of effectiveness test in this study obtained an N-gain value of 16.74, which belonged to the low category (low effective)

    Rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar kognitif disebabkan oleh kesulitan mahasiswa dalam memahami konsep yang terdapat dalam bahan ajar yang digunakan dan kurangnya bahan ajar yang menuntut keterampilan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan e-module berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi sistem respirasi berdasarkan hasil penelitian potensi ekstrak bawang putih tunggal (Allium sativum) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu ADDIE dengan tahapan analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif. Teknik analisis data kualitatif dilakukan dengan mengelompokkan data berupa saran, pendapat, dan komentar perbaikan yang terdapat pada angket validasi dan uji coba produk yang dikembangkan. Teknik analisis data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui instrumen pengumpulan data pada angket validasi dan uji coba produk dalam bentuk persentase. Analisis data keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar kognitif dilakukan dengan uji ANAKOVA. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kevalidan oleh ahli materi sebesar 100%, ahli pembelajaran sebesar 99,32%, ahli praktisi lapangan sebesar 96,6% dengan kategori sangat valid, sedangkan nilai kepraktisan oleh mahasiswa sebesar 89,21% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Keefektifan e-module dilihat dari peningkatan rata-rata nilai keterampilan berpikir kreatif dengan selisih 39,4 dan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa dengan selisih 40,92. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh e-module yang dikembangkan sangat valid, sangat praktis, dan efektif digunakan.Kata Kunci: Modul Elektronik, Inkuiri Terbimbing, Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif, Hasil Belajar Kognitif, Hasil Penelitia

    Abstrak. Salah satu elemen penentu keberhasilan dalam proses pembelajaran adalah keterampilan berpikir kritis, namun faktanya masih dijumpai permasalahan. Permasalahan keterampilan berpikir kritis dijumpai pada peserta didik kelas X Ā SMAN 4 Malang yang menunjukkan 15% keterampilan berpikir kritis sedang, 38% peserta didik dengan keterampilan berpikir kritis rendah, 47% keterampilan berpikir kritis sangat rendah. Rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik berdampak pada hasil belajar kognitif yang dibawah KKM. Keterampilan berpikir kritis dapat ditingkatkan dengan inovasi pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning, Namun, sintaks PBL tersebut menjadikan implementasi PBL tidak mudah, maka dibutuhkan asesmen formatif sebagai alat bantu. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menguji pengaruh problem based learning berbantuanĀ  asesmenĀ  formatif terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik kelas X MIPA SMAN 4 Malang pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Penelitian ini ialah penelitian kuasi eksperimen menggunakan rancangan penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh peserta didik kelas X SMAN 4 Malang tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas X MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian adalah soal tes esai keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kognitif pada materi perubahan lingkungan yang telah di validasi sebelumnya. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif skor keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar kognitif. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis kovarian (anakova) dengan bantuan SPSS 17.0. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh problem based learning berbantuan asesmen formatif terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar kognitif. Disimpulkan bahwa integrasi problem based learning dengan asesmen formatif menjadi inovasi yang dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif pemberdayaan keterampilan berpikirĀ  secara kritis dan hasil belajar.Abstract.Ā The study aims to know the impact of problem based gaining knowledge of assisted by way of formative assessment on critical thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes of college students of class X MIPA SMAN 4 Malang on environmental change material.     Collaborative mind mapping in RICOSRE learning model to improve studentsā€™ information literacy

    This research aimed to determine how the reading, identifying problem, constructing solution, solving problem, reviewing and extending problem solution (RICOSRE) learning model integration with collaborative mind mapping affects studentsā€™ information literacy in higher education institutions. This quasi-experimental study used a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. There were 40 multiple-choice questions selected to assess student information literacy. All instruments have been validated and are reliable. The data were collected from 100 participants who were college students enrolled in the environmental pollution course of the biology education degree program at Siliwangi University, Indonesia. To analyze the research data, analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used at a 5% level of significance, followed by the least significance difference (LSD) test. The ANCOVA results showed that the RICOSRE-CMM learning model impacted studentsā€™ information literacy. LSD scores were significantly different in terms of studentsā€™ information literacy. It can be concluded that the RICOSRE-CMM model could enhance each component of information literacy as these components have been integrated into the learning model syntax, which involves a series of information discovery and analysis processes during group work to find a solution to a problem

    Bryopsida or mosses is one of diversities which takes an important role in life, for example take an important role to absorb water, oxygen supplier and being habitat for other organism. This research aimed to know the diversity of various mosses at Tahura R Soerjo. This research conducted from February to April 2016 used a survey method of a free random approach. The identification is based on structure gametophyte, especially leaf morphology, because the sporophyte not always be seen. The result of the research are 25 species of mosses, that will be arranged becomes supplement for Biology student in State University of Malang. Mahasiswa Biologi angkatan 2013 berdasarkan survei membutuhkan bahan ajar berbasis penelitian mengenai Tumbuhan Lumut untuk matakuliah Keanekaragaman Tumbuhan. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi tumbuhan lumut, khususnya lumut daun di Hutan Raya R Soerjo (Tahura R Soerjo). Metode penelitian adalah metode eksploratif dengan jelajah bebas. Lokasi penelitian, meliputi wilayah Watu Ondo, Watu Lumpang, Coban Teyeng dan Lemah Bang. Ketinggian lokasi penelitian 1300-1700 mdpl, dengan suhu 19-23ĖšC dan kelembapan udara 70-80%. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Februari-April 2016 dan identifikasi dilakukan di laboratorium Botani Universitas Negeri Malang dan divalidasi oleh LIPI Cibodas. Hasil penelitian adalah terdapat 18 suku dan 25 spesies lumut daun, yaitu suku Bryaceae (2 jenis), suku Calymperaceae (1 jenis), suku Dicranaceae (2 jenis), suku Fissidentaceae (2 jenis), suku Hypnaceae (1 jenis), suku Hypopterygiaceae (1 jenis), suku Leskeaceae (1 jenis), suku Leucobryaceae (1 jenis), suku Meteoriaceae (2 jenis), suku Neckeraceae (1 jenis), suku Porellaceae (1 jenis), suku Pottiaceae (1 jenis), suku Pterobryaceae (2 jenis), suku Rhacopilaceae (2 jenis), suku Rhizogoniaceae (2 jenis), suku Sematophyllaceae (1 jenis), suku Splachnobryaceae (1 jenis), dan suku Thuidiaceae (1 jenis).Ā  Selanjutnya Hasil penelitian berupa deskripsi struktur morfologi dan anatomi Bryopsida dari Taman Hutan Raya R Soerjo akan digunakan sebagai suplemen bagi mahasiswa pendidikan Biologi

    Implementation of an Inquiry Learning Model Based on Lesson Study as a Way of Improving Learning Outcomes on Contents Structure and Function of Plant Tissue to Students Senior High Schools in Malang Regency

    The observations and interviews with teachers and students of senior high schools in Malang Regency showed that 1) the teachers were implementing the curriculum of 2013, 2) the teachers had already implemented the practical methods yet had not applied the scientific approach, 3) they had not followed the scientific approach of learning process by not implementing performance assessment yet. While result of student interviews showed that the students were bored with the biology lesson due to the many contents that must be memorized. Based on the need analysis which had been done previously, it is necessary to study the implementation of inquiry-based learning according to lesson study in order to improve learning outcomes of the senior high schools in Malang Regency. The method which was used through lesson study activities together with the teachers of senior high schools in Malang Regency, comprised of three stages, namely, plan, do and see. The research was conducted in the 11th Grade of MIA in Malang regency with a total population of 180 students, started from 5th to 28th August 2016. The research was collaboratively conducted within the Biology Teacher Development Group (MGMP) in Malang regency. The lesson study consisted of three cycles. Cycle 1 was conducted in SMAN I Lawang, cycle 2 was in SMAN Kepanjen, and cycle 3 was in SMAN I Bululawang. The instruments used were the observation and interview sheets. The conclusion demonstrated that the implementation of guided inquiry model through lesson study could improve studentsā€™ learning outcomes, which included the cognitive competence, observation skill by using microscope, and communication skills of 11th Grade students of MIA in Malang Regency

    Development of UKBM Based on EPUB (Human Digestive System)

    In this globalization era, information is very easy to obtain, therefore critical thinking skills are important for students to have because they can train students to filter the information obtained to solve a problem. The purpose of this research is to produce a product in the form of UKBM based on ePUB on digestive system topic to improve critical thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes of students who have been tested for validity, practicality and effectiveness. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE development model. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 5 Malang with the research sample being students of class XI. Research data in the form of the results of the validation of media experts, topic experts, assessment experts, field practitioners, student responses, pretest and posttest results of students. The results showed that the average percentage of validated ratings of media experts, topic experts, assessment experts, field practitioners were 96.74 percent, 100 percent, 100 percent, and 94.23 percent, all of which were in the very valid category. The practicality test value is 92.53 percent which means it is very practical, the value of the effectiveness test is 0.8 which means it is classified as very effective, the results of students critical thinking skills are 82.16 which means it is classified as very critical, and the cognitive learning outcomes of students 93.42 which means it is classified as high. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the development of UKBM based on ePUB can improve critical thinking skills and students cognitive learning outcomes.

    Biology learning in the 2013 curriculum emphasizes the development of holistic attitude, knowledge, and skills competencies. One way to develop these competencies is by applying a learning model based on a scientific approach, namely inquiry and PjBL. Both of these models have stages that can develop the three competencies. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of inquiry learning model and PjBL toward concept comprehension, scientific process skill, and scientific attitude. The type of this research is experiment using nonrandomized pretest and posstes control group design. The instrument of this research is the observation sheet of scientific attitude and scientific process skill, and concept comprehension test. Analysis of scientific attitude data using anova, data analysis of scientific process skills using kruskal wallis, and analysis of concept comprehension data using anacova. The result of analysis of anakova test obtained F count equal to 65,494 with significance level p (0,000) <Ī± (0,05), Anova test result got Ļ‡2 count equal to 44,325 with significance level p (0,000) <Ī± (0,05), test result Anova obtained F count equal to 26,795 with significance level p (0,000) <Ī± (0,05). The three test results show that there are differences in scientific attitude, scientific process skills, and conceptual understanding between control class students and experimental class students

    PENGEMBANGAN MODUL BERBASIS PENELITIAN ANALISIS AKTIVITAS FOSFORILASI PROTEIN MEMBRAN SPERMATOZOA KAMBING UNTUK MATAKULIAH TEKNIK ANALISIS BIOLOGI MOLEKULER

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) menghasilkan modul berbasis penelitian analisis aktivitas fosforilasi protein membran spermatozoa kambing; 2) untuk mengetahui aktivitas fosforilasi protein membran spermatozoa kambing PE dan Boer. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model pengembangan Borg & Gall (1983) yang dibatasi sampai lima tahap yaitu, research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, dan main product revision. Analisis aktivitas fosforilasi protein membran spermatozoa dilakukan dengan beberapa prosedur laboratorium yaitu, isolasi protein, elektroforesis, elektroelusi protein 43 kDa, dan uji aktivitas fosforilasi. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif yang menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar validasi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa persentase kevalidan modul dari ahli materi sebesar 95,40%, dari ahli bahan ajar sebesar 99,49% dan dari uji coba kelompok kecil sebesar 86,35%. Keseluruhan persentase yang diperoleh termasuk ke dalam kategori valid. Hasil penelitian mengenai aktivitas fosforilasi protein 43 kDa menunjukkan bahwa jumlah ATP yang difosforilasi pada protein membran spermatozoa kambing PE sebesar 179 ppm, sedangkan pada kambing Boer sebesar 159,5 ppm.     ANALISIS PENGEMBANGAN PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN DAN PEMANFAATAN POTENSI LOKAL SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR BIOLOGI SMA DI LAMONGAN

    Perangkat pembelajaran merupakan pedoman pendidik dalam mengatur kegiatan pembelajaran. Kurang terampilnya pendidik menyusun perangkat pembelajaran dan memanfaatkan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar menjadi penyebab efektivitas pembelajaran menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kualitas perangkat pembelajaran biologi SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Tanggal 23 Septemberāˆ’ 3 Oktober 2016. Responden pada penelitian berjumlah 106 siswa SMA dan 4 guru mata pelajaran biologi. Instrumen pada penelitian ini adalah angket dan lembar analisis dokumen perangkat pembelajaran. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh pendidik telah mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berupa RPP dengan dengan skor rata-rata 70% kategori cukup baik dan instrumen penilaian kognitif pada level kognitif C1-C3. Bahan ajar berupa LKS berasal dari penerbit, 50% pendidik telah menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis pada pendekatan saintifik, serta belum optimalnya pemanfaatan potensi lokal sebagai sumber belajar. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapatkan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendidik masih kurang terampil dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran sehingga dibutuhkan suatu perangkat pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum 2013 dan sumber belajar yang memanfaatkan potensi lokal untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajara
